Position of a track magnet securing a level crossing
There are track magnets that are influenced by automatic level crossings. If the latter doesn't work the track magnet will cause an automatic emergency brake (Zwangsbremsung). The board shown here is provided to let the driver know about the reason of such an automatic brake.

If a train has to pass a ''stop'' showing signal the driver has to be aware of not closed barriers.
