Combined signals

Combined signals are part of the signalling system L. They can show both main signal aspects and distant signal aspects (but only one at a time). They are mainly used for block signals at short block distances (see layout example). The meaning of the aspects is exactly the same as it is on main or distant signals.

Profile examples

Note that the signals shown below are only examples. There is a great variety of combined signals with different combinations of possible aspects.

This signal is capable of showing »stop«. It is therefore equipped with an additional board which tells the engine driver to stop in case of a dark signal.
(The second red light is switched on if the first one burns out.)

This signal is not capable of showing ''stop''. If it is dark it has to be treated like if it showed ''warning''.

This is an example for a rather »exotic« signal.
